Practice Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style in the morning & understand and heal your spine and shoulders in the afternoon workshops. Don't miss this unique opportunity on Bryce's 2nd visit in Wiesbaden!

 

The classes and workshops can assist in safely and effectively addressing injuries while taking your practise to the next level. Beginners as well as individuals suffering from pain or repetitive use injuries are highly encouraged to attend. 

No Ashtanga Yoga experience is needed! 

 

You are free to choose your participations, e.g. only Mysore Style Practice or only workshops or a mix of them. Take use of the price advantage of our packages, see below.

About Bryce


Bryce began practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga at the age of 15, after being diagnosed with severe scoliosis. Facing the option of full spinal fusion, his family friends Andrew & Ray Eppler suggested to try yoga. During his first class he felt at peace in his body; from this initial moment he began devoting his life to alternatives to surgery.

 

He traveled to India to pursue a traditional practice with Sri BNS Iyengar, a direct student of Sri T. Krishnamacharya. While studying all 4 sequences of the Ashtanga Series (Primary, Intermediate, Advanced A & B), along with Mudra, Pranayama and Philosophy, he became pain free.

 

He continued to study with world renown teachers, such as David Williams, Danny Paradise, David Swenson and many more. He has completed 1000h certification through Integrative Yoga Therapy and is E-RYT 500, YACEP & C-IAYT certified.

 

Through this experience, Bryce has developed an unique insight into the use of Vinyasa Yoga as a deep healing modality. Interweaving asana; full body & hand mudra; pranayama; chakra, vayu & kosha awareness; prana vidya & visualizations; self massage; muscle isolations; somatics; deep relaxation & yoga nidra.

 

Bryce's training focusses on identifying and adressing structural imbalances in one's own body and others.

  • 16.00 - 18.30 Master Class
  • 19.00: FREE MOVIE: Mysore Yoga Traditions (by Andrew Eppler & his crew). In the Asthanga world this movie about the evolution of the yoga community of Krishnamacharya in Mysore, India, is well known. Bryce was part of the crew who made this documentary.
    Let's watch it together, we provide self-made vegan supersnacks!

Saturday, May 2nd

  • 9.00 - 11.00 Mysore Practice
  • 13.30 - 18.00 Workshop: Strong Supple Spine: The spine is the innermost core of the body and basis for an optimally functioning of the body. Focus in this workshop is unlocking the spine's potential to move & support the healthy functions of the body. This is true core work that utilises twist, forward-&backbends to address the deepest layers of tissue. The workshop will help you understand your spine, give you tools for supporting its health. For students with spinal pain this workshop is highly recommended.

Sunday, May 3rd

  • 9.00 - 11.00 Mysore Practice
  • 13.30 - 18.00 Workshop: Stabilize the Shoulders
    Do you have tight shoulders? Limited range of movement? Pain? Does it hurt when raise your arms or when you do chaturanga? This is a crash course in experiencing how to set yourself up for a lifelong sustainable arm balance practice, by understanding how to avoid repetitive use injuries & acquiring tools for healing existing injuries in the shoulders, elbows, wrists & hands.

Monday, May 4th

  • Private Lessons with Bryce, 30 to 90 minutes, depending on your needs (please mail for time! Fee is depending on your salary, give what is working well for you)

Master Class (2.5. hours)

All lvel in depth practice, interweaving many facets of healing yoga practices. This practice will include Asana, Mudra, Pranayama, Visualization, Self Massage, Somatics, Muscle Activation, Deep Relaxation & Meditation.

 

Mysore Practice
All Levels self practice; moving and breathing at your own pace; this is where the rubber meets the road. In here, there is no right or wrong sequence; complete & total open format; all traditions are welcome. From the super advanced to the total beginner, Bryce will be working individually to help you work through any obstacle in your practice; physical, postural, breath/energy, emotional, spiritual etc; he will be here to help you create a customized practice for your needs. This is as close as it gets to having a private class in a group setting. Within this context Bryce can do postural assessments to help you understand your own rotational pattern in your feet, knees, hips, rib cage, shoulders & spine; and give you a customized therapeutic sequence to create more balance & prevent your pattern from becoming more accentuated.
